Ohana Glass
Located in Haiku, (rainbow paradise of Maui), sits Ohana Glass Studio. It was established in 2019 out of the crazy pandemic and because of the uncertain health-related issues working as a preschool director/teacher, so, decided it was time to retire! My sister and I discovered on YouTube one day a fascinating glasswork called fused glass. I, Diane, have always had a love for glass and did some stained glass when living in Oregon. Then children came along and that went on the back burner. Now semi-retired, and after my sister Reba lost her husband to cancer in 2016, we purchased a home together in beautiful Haiku Maui. Reba is very creative also, with leather/sewing/painting, and tiling as hobbies. So we two decided to purchase a kiln and glass and gave glass fusing a try!
Our hobby has turned into an obsession! It was love at first firing! We haven’t looked back. It is our desire to give you a glimpse into the beauty of the ocean and its creatures, as well as creating that “natural/tropical/cultural” feel of the islands where we live.
Aloha and God Bless,
